No Reservations with Reservations

I would be remiss in my responsibility to honor my friendships and assuage my ego if I did not tell readers of A Hunger Artist that the episode of Tony Bourdain's No Reservations that was filmed, in part, at Mike Pardus' home and in which I appear briefly during a BBQ scene, is currently airing on The Travel Network at 10PM EST. (Check your local listing for show times.) As I told so many people today, I tried to watch it last night but fell asleep before the critical scene in which I move silently around Mike's backyard doing I don't know what.

Did Tony flash the Chase Sapphire card at the BBQ?

Just caught the episode tonight. The food looks soooo good - doesn't help someone recently gifted us with an HD TV. I'm thinking I need to do a lot of cooking this weekend while I'm snowed in so I don't feel so jealous. :)

I did see you in the BBQ scene!

Bob is being extremely modest, he was one of the heroes of the entire shoot. When he arrived at my house on the morning of the BBQ, I was still at work. I had engaged several friends to come early to assist abd Bob got there first, dug into the prep list, and had most of the Mise en Place ready to go by the time I got home. With an attitude of energetic comradeship he stepped up and saved my ass, making the whole BBQ scene look like just one more good time, when actually it was the culmination of 2 weeks of frantic preparation. Thanks BdG. You are, without a doubt, THE MAN.

He looked like he was working the 'behind the scenes' of things to do...MAN Pardus your daughter was funny, really giving Anthony a hard time...Liked the Emeril 'get it out of my shopping cart' story she reiterated too!

(I haven't seen the chase card thing}
