Vegetarian dogfood? Well, my dogs might eat it if I dribbled some blood on it.

You're dog's organic? I thought this stuff was for organic pets.

I wonder how they pieced this together. Here at least the demands on dog food (pet food) in terms of additives is stricter than it is with food for human consumption. I assume they have found a way to synthesise the proteines that a dog needs for healthy growth and to avoid disease/malformations.

Oops. Methinks The Humane Society is no SPCA. I've noticed that worries are piling on that these ingredients may be organically labeled but sloppily sourced.

Patrick Burns has been looking closely. Feb 15, 2010 ... "Some dog food company in Uruguay is willing to pay a kickback to the Humane Society of the U.S. to have their name put on a bag..."

Bob --

I let the HSUS and PETA have my thoughts on how counterproductive their groups have been during my review of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's The River Cottage MEAT Book...HSUS is a detriment to wildlife conservation in the worst way...they actually think they're doing good, instead of what they're really doing...feeding into the delusions of their followers and making bank for themselves in the process!

BTW my episode on cooking freshly got wild boar Indonesian style just went up you may enjoy: Roasting Babi Guling

Cheers,
Cork
