Ted Turner on the Nexus of Global Warming and Hunger

Ted Turner tells Charlie Rose that global warming will wipe out agriculture, kill off millions and turn the rest into cannibals. In other words, life on earth will be much, much worse than it is already.

Look, this could be serious.

There is a vacuum of published culinary literature to cover this eventuality. At least in this galaxy. Should we start with the 'long pig' concept that suggests this meat should generally be treated like pork? Maybe it is too early to begin planning for this.

Have you any idea of how to go about finding real estate in Barrow, Ak?

The preferred culinary treatment of that meat is a topic that I am forbidden, by god, to discuss.

Scientists in the U.K. have reported evidence that further refutes one theory of global climate change.

In the heated debate over global warming, there is an opposing idea, called the cosmic ray theory, which contends that climate change is simply caused by cosmic rays coming from the sun.

Temps have been rising and falling for millennia, all I care about is how our current climate will affect the pancetta hanging in my basement. All else is trivia.

So how does the "cosmic ray theory" explain the high degree of correlation (93%) between atmospheric carbon dioxide and the increase in global average temperature?

And how does the "cosmic ray theory" account for the >99% correlation between the burning of fossil fuels and the increasing concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide?
