Sometimes I think blogging is the best job in the world. I've got no boss, can make my own hours and I get to meet-sometimes live- some truly interesting people. (Too bad it doesn't pay.) Take Tyrone, a guy who I became cyber-friendly with many months ago via a process that I have already forgotten. As I write Tyrone, who mostly lives in Texas where he runs a catering operation with his business partner Gary, is in Tenerife trying to resupply the galley of a Mercy Ship of which he is the executive chef.
Tyrone and his nurse wife Stephanie are on their way to Africa for a year of treating the sick. It's humbling for someone as ego centric as myself to think that there are people out there who do the kind of work that they do. And more than a little amusing that I get to hear about it first hand via email from Tyrone and his blog. What a life.
