Aftermath of the fire that killed 15K ducks

Here are some photos of the aftermath of the fire at Hudson Valley Farms breeding annex. While the results of the fire inspector's investigation have not been released, it seems that the most probable cause of the blaze is related to the heating system.

These pictures were sent to me by the farm's operations manager -Marcus Henley -and I assume were taken by him.

My uncle's riding stable burned down when I was about nine -- 3 horses and a stable boy were killed and it was horrific. Barn fires, whether horse, duck or whatever are a constant threat and an ongoing terror. My sympathies to them all ...
